Description

Due to updates to the EU regulation on electronic identification and trust services (the eIDAS Regulation), mobile network operators will start to gradually replace SIM cards that support the Mobile-ID service. The way Mobile-ID is used will not change, but users will need to replace their SIM cards before 19 May 2027 to continue using the service.
